Slime! It adds a certain "ickiness" to just about anything.

If you need your set, mask, or prop to have permanent "goo", you might try Gorilla Max Strength Clear Construction Adhesive. It dries clear and shiny. Just load it into your caulk gun and go to town!
This mask by Allen Hopps uses this glue for the drool:

Maybe you want something that actually drips?

You might consider methylcellulose, often sold to treat constipation. It is also pretty commonly used as slime in film, being hypoallergenic and non-toxic. Just add water.

Another fun one is J Lube veterinary "obstetrical lubricant". Doesn't that sound delightful? You can buy it as a concentrated powder you mix with water. A 10-oz bottle can make up to 8 gallons! Party time! You can also buy it pre-mixed, but a gallon will cost you about 2/3 what a bottle of mix would cost, and it's much heavier, if you are getting is shipped.

Typically, methylcellulose can be thick and clumpy. J lube tends to be stretchy and slimy. Mix the two for super goopy slime.

You might be interested in Metamuci Flubber! Mix a tsp of powder to 8 oz of water and heat in the microwave until it almost overflows. That's maybe 4-5 minutes. Let it cool. You can repeat the heating process, making it more rubbery each time you do.

If the orange color does not work for you, you might try doing it with a generic, uncolored/unflavored fiber powder.

The Gorilla Glue has the advantage of drying nice and clear and looking good. The others listed above have the advantage of being safe for contact with skin, or even safe to ingest! There are certainly other slimes out there you can make using PVA glue, borax, liquid starch, etc. I am not sure I would want to use them on any actors.

Fun bonus! I am told that the slime dripping off the xenomorph is actually Kayo corn syrup!

Not being fond of ants, I think i'll skip the corn syrup in my haunt.

What's your go-to for slime?

Happy Haunting!
