OK, for today, I did a full body. Probably should have left the face blank. :-) Practiced a hand and a couple of shoes. With essentially a week left in the experiment, I think my "goal picture" was a little ambitious. Still, I can probably knock out a reasonable scarecrow. What did you do today? Happy Haunting!
I thought I'd better practice at shoes for a bit. Yes, I know they are profile (easiest) and not very good, but the point is to practice. I only got in 30 minutes today. Had to go pick something up for a future project before work, and just cut practice short a bit. Can you tell I did the shoe first and the boot second? I like the proportions of the boot better. May have bitten off a bit more than I could chew today. :-) I thought I'd look at the pic again and see how well I could do reproducing it. I actually picked a similar but not identical pic, but the point was to see where the cracks are. To see what I need to work on. I expected the face to be a problem, and sure enough, it was. Especially the nose and trying to get a smile. I think the hat worked out OK. I know hands ...
Back to faces. Tried a couple of faces, then tried capturing the face of The Creeper from Jeepers Creepers. I've never seen any of those movies, but I like his car. I like his costume too. Not really a fan of the face, but I'd like to be able to draw it, so... What did you do today? Happy haunting!
