I thought I'd better practice at shoes for a bit. Yes, I know they are profile (easiest) and not very good, but the point is to practice. I only got in 30 minutes today. Had to go pick something up for a future project before work, and just cut practice short a bit. Can you tell I did the shoe first and the boot second? I like the proportions of the boot better. It is interesting ...
May have bitten off a bit more than I could chew today. :-) I thought I'd look at the pic again and see how well I could do reproducing it. Probably in part because the skull is not anatomically accurate, and in part because removing the flesh makes the eyes bigger and the nose too. Here's a pic of the skull. Of course, the sun rose up between when I started drawing and when I took the picture... What did you do today? ...
More faces. Tried a different tutorial following the same basic concepts as before. I didn't really mean her to look like an ancient Peruvian, but there it is. I guess it's a good thing I intend to mostly draw monsters! This one I did the square jaw and smaller features on purpose. Maybe I did not intend them to be quite THAT small... Maybe it's the ears, but this reminds me of Orlando Bloom. ...
