I just got a copy of SCARECROWS by Avon Neal and Ann Parker. I first heard about this book from the Pumpkinrot Blog. When I admire someone's work, I want to be inspired by them, but even more, to be inspired by what inspired THEM! I guess I'm like Jon Favreau in that one small way. Mr. Favreau created the wildly popular series "The Mandalorian" in large part by going back to the Samurai and Western movies that inspired George Lucas.

  2. Necro nom nom nomicon

For Christmas this year I got a friend a cookbook. I happened to know he is a fan of Vincent Price and a fan of Bruce Campbell and the Evil Dead series. Maybe they are more intense than American and Canadian movies. It's more than that, though. The culture brings a different aesthetic to film. The stories themselves have different motivations, ...

  5. Corruption of a Mask

    Hi AZ Haunters!
I thought I'd share a recent project. It's not much, but maybe it will inspire someone.
Basically, I modified a plastic mask to look creepier.

I got a plastic mask off Amazon. It didn't fit me or anyone else. If you could see out the eyes, the mask chin was in your mouth or at least not covering your chin.

I cut out the chin and widened the eyes with a razor.
