  1. DryRot Gulch Lights On Tour

This video is a "lights on" walk-thru of DryRot Gulch.
    Just to show the props.

Tour starts with The Sentinel. This was, of course, inspired by Master Pumpkinrot. You can't tell form the pictures or video, but the left arm of that prop was actually engineered as a puppet, so a hidden actor could "grab" patrons. For the Nervous Nellies out there, the hand is made entirely of furniture foam, so it's the

This is one of the scarecrows from this year's DryRot Gulch. The head and torso are paper mache, with a blindfold of faux barb wire.

  4. Necro nom nom nomicon

For Christmas this year I got a friend a cookbook. I happened to know he is a fan of Vincent Price and a fan of Bruce Campbell and the Evil Dead series. So this time when I was looking for a gift I bought him the Vincent Price Cooking Price-Wise cookbook. I decided to give it a Necronomicon style book cover just to make it interesting.

How to do this is readily available all over the net, so I'll

This my interpretations of it. I wanted to do something I had never seen done before. I decided to illuminate the Jack o'Lantern head not with a candle or electric tealight. I decided to put "hot coals" inside, since I'd never seen that done.

It's weird, when you think about it. The original "lantern" ...
